How to See What Each Whatnot Item Earned After Fees, During and After a Live Show

Whatnot shows each order's earnings after fees in Seller Hub, under Receipt and earnings details, and the Show Report CSV lists the fees for a whole show. During the show, Whatnot's Live Analytics counts sales before fees. Here's where each number lives, how the fees are worked out, and how Backstage keeps a running total for the show while you sell, with your net once Whatnot's receipts are in. From Whatnot's help center as of October 2, 2026.

Whatnot shows what each item earned after fees in Seller Hub: open the order and look at Receipt and earnings details. For a whole show, the Show Report CSV lists the fees for every item. What Whatnot doesn’t give you is a running total after fees while you’re live: its Live Analytics counts sales before fees. Backstage keeps a running total for you during the show, and adds your net from Whatnot’s own receipt for each sale.

Here’s where each number lives and how the fees add up, from Whatnot’s help center as of October 2, 2026.

One item: Receipt and earnings details

Every order has its own receipt with the fees taken out.

It shows the commission rate charged on that order and the full breakdown down to your earnings. The order also carries an earnings status: Processing while the money is on its way to your balance, Completed once it’s ready to pay out, and Cancelled if the order was cancelled. For when Completed happens, see Whatnot payouts, explained.

A whole show: the Show Report

The Show Report is a CSV with item details, sale prices, fees and totals for one show.

  1. On whatnot.com, open the Shipments page in Seller Hub.
  2. Pick the show from the All Shows & Marketplace filter.
  3. Click Open Sidebar, scroll to Show Actions, and choose Export Show Report (CSV).
  4. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, not a plain text editor.

It’s a download, so it’s a job for after the show.

A week at a time: the weekly orders report

Whatnot also posts a weekly orders report every Monday at 6 am UTC, under Financials, then Statements, on whatnot.com. It breaks each order into the sale price, Whatnot’s commission, payment processing, any shipping you paid, and what you earned, with the show’s name on each row.

It only lists completed orders: with Early Payout, an order completes when you generate the label; without it, usually within about four hours of delivery. So one show can land across two weekly reports, and refunds show up as their own rows. For every charge that touched your balance, including the ones the weekly report leaves out, use the Ledger, under Finances on whatnot.com.

During the show: what Whatnot’s live numbers mean

Whatnot’s Live Analytics panel shows sales, orders and sales per hour while you’re live. It’s on whatnot.com only, and Whatnot says it’s in a limited test, so not every seller has it. Its sales number is before fees, refunds and cancellations. That’s the gross, not what you made.

While you’re live you can still open any single order in Seller Hub and see its receipt. That works for checking one sale. It doesn’t add up a show.

How the fees are worked out

Two fees come off every paid sale, plus any shipping you cover:

So on a $20 item with $4.99 shipping and no sales tax, at an 8% rate: $1.60 commission, $1.02 processing, and you keep $17.38. Try your own numbers in the Whatnot fee calculator.

Where Backstage fits

Backstage records every sale the moment it happens, by buyer name, and reads the receipt Whatnot writes for each one, so the after-fees number is Whatnot’s own, not a guess.

It runs in Chrome next to your show, or as a native app on the iPad with no computer.
