Sale photos
A picture of each item from its auction, pinned to the sale.
Each sale gets a photo of the item from that auction, pinned to the sale. You see it on the sale, your packer sees it on the live link, and it's on the manifest.
- Chrome: menu ☰ › In show › Sale screenshots. Chrome asks your permission when you press Start. Saying no still starts your show, just without photos.
- iPad: Settings › Packing › Sale photos.
Keep your Whatnot show on screen while you sell.
Why does a sale have no photo?
Backstage would rather leave a sale without a photo than give it the wrong one. So some sales have none, for example a sale caught up after a connection drop, or one where the video had frozen. Buy It Now sales use the listing's own photo.
Photo warnings (Chrome)
During a show, a bar at the top of the panel tells you when photos stop, and a red ! shows on the Backstage icon:
- Your video isn't updating for us: tap Refresh Whatnot tab. Your show keeps going.
- Photos are off: tap Turn on photos and allow screenshots.
- Photos paused: click back to your Whatnot show tab. It can only be photographed while it's showing.
- Connection trouble: your internet is dropping. Nothing is lost; sales catch up when it's back.
The bar also counts how many sales have no photo so far.
See the whole screen (Chrome)
Click a sale and tap See the whole screen to see your full Whatnot screen from that moment. Back to the item goes back. The full screen is kept on your computer only. For every photo from a show at once, open the manifest and click Photos.
