What PENDING means
The buyer won, but Whatnot hasn't taken their payment yet.
Chrome + iPad
A PENDING sale is still a sale. The buyer won; Whatnot just hasn't collected the payment yet.
- It keeps its bin, like any other sale.
- In Chrome it's listed under Pending Payments at the top of the panel.
- Its label prints marked PENDING, so it doesn't ship by accident.
- When the payment goes through, it clears by itself and a popup tells you which bin is safe to pack.
Don't ship a pending item until its payment clears.
Rather not print pending labels?
- Chrome: menu ☰ › Print › turn off Print pending-payment labels. The label then waits until the payment clears.
- iPad: Settings › Printer › Unpaid sales › Hold until paid.
You can also change this on the Start card's printer box before you go live.
