Start capturing a show

Backstage never records on its own. It waits for you to press Start.

In Chrome

1. Open your show from your Whatnot seller dashboard, in the same Chrome window as the panel.
   Use the dashboard, not the public show page.
2. Press Start.
3. Check the card, then tap Start my show.

On iPad

1. Tap Open Whatnot and go to your show.
2. Backstage spots it and opens the Start card. Until you start, the top of the app says Waiting for Start; tap Start show to open the card again.
3. Check the card, then tap Start my show.

What the Start card shows

The card opens with Ready to go live? and your streak, like "🔥 Tonight makes 4 weeks in a row".

• Anything that needs a look gets its own box at the top, with the fix right there. Check that the show it found is yours.
• Everything that's ready is folded into one sentence: Tonight Backstage will …. Tap anything underlined to change it right there: what prints, the label size, photos, Buyer's choice and more.
• The printer box lets you set Label size, Also a label per item, Giveaway winners, Buy It Now sales and pending or unpaid sales without opening Settings. Printer settings takes you to the rest. Tap Test print to see a label come out before you go live.
• Tonight's goal: pick one just above the Start button. See Tonight's goal and Show Wrapped.

A problem box never stops you; the button just says Start anyway. Bins carry over until you clear the last show, so if the first bin isn't 1, see Bins started at the wrong number.
